Perhaps you have already received the over-the-air (OTA) update for your new Android-powered Motorola DROID from Verizon, or maybe you are still waiting patiently for it to arrive on your phone. In either case, a source has reported to BGR that more than 10,000 DROIDS have received the update already and there is already a new update in the queue that is allegedly slated for an end-of-January delivery.

There is no confirmation yet that another update is forthcoming nor what it will likely contain, but we do know that it will arrive in the same fashion — as an OTA update that will roll out to DROID handsets everywhere sometime around the end of January 2010. Stay tuned!
