Motorola Morrison engineering sketches look Android-ish

It doesn’t have a radical design and it appears to sport the typical slider QWERTY keyboard and full touchscreen, but this engineering sketch is a decent rendering of the Motorola Morrison that will soon come our way and join the Android handset ranks. There are several additional sketches displaying many angles of the device, so check them out here. With a possible price-point of less than $100 (on contract), this Android device from Motorola may just be the bee’s knees while dealing with a tight economy. Motorola Morrison coming to T-Mobile on October 21?

We hope that all the buzz around the Moto Shules for Verizon didn’t make you forget about the other Android goodness that Motorola is said to be working on – the Morrison. Now, it turns out that the Morrison has been spotted inside some kind of a T-Mobile Customer Service system. And while this comes with the image below as a proof, there’s also a rumor, going we will be able to check the phone out on October 21. We are sure this was not the launch date you were hoping to hear, but you know what they say – better late than never… and that applies to Android side-sliders too!

Motorola Morrison Android phone spotted?

Allegedly, the Motorola Morrison, an Android handset, has been spotted and is headed for T-Mobile. It will likely be available in three colors: black, white, and metallic blue. With the slide-out keyboard and youthful design (particularly the blue model), Motorola appears to be going after a younger demographic with this one. Android fits well for social apps, and this device looks like it will meet the needs of the texting and instant messaging addicts out there.

The more Android handsets T-Mobile has, the better. If a Morrison is sitting alongside the myTouch in your local T-Mobile store, which one fits your lifestyle?

T-Mobile’s Wal Mart road map includes G1 v2 and brand new G2?

The guys at BGR seem to have gotten their hands on a leaked copy of T-Mobile’s road map for Wal Mart and as far as Android developments are concerned, there is a lot going on. The G1 v2 will apparently be named after a mythical creature that some claim to have seen in the wild-the “Bigfoot” or the “Morrison” (like in Jim Morrison). The latter name is the one that appears on the road map for the updated G1 model. Right away, you can see from the photos that the handset has taken it on the chin as the fugly looking appendage to the original version is now gone. The phone is expected to get the attention of Wal Mart shoppers in October for $148 with a two year contract.

The T-Mobile G2, also known as the Sapphire, is another Android based touchscreen model expected to be on the shelf at Wal Mart this July, selling at a price of $179 with a two year pact. The T-Mobile USA version of this phone features a 5MP camera, an upgrade from the 3.2MP shooter that comes with the overseas version of the device.
