According to BGR, sources close to HTC have revealed that the HTC Desire is headed to AT&T sometime in May or June and will offer up some HTC Sense UI goodness for its owners. The model that will hit the shelves is likely to look slightly different than the one pictured, with some minor cosmetic changes.
Rumor has it that Sprint will get a new Android handset of their own from HTC – the Hero2. The Hero2 is actually the new HTC Legend but will also undergo some cosmetic changes as it makes its way to Sprint. There is no timeframe at present for Hero2 availability on Sprint, but as we learn more details and as rumor becomes reality, we will post it here.

While we all anxiously await the arrival of the Droid on Verizon, an interesting rumor has popped up about the Droid — instead of just being a new Android handset, the rumor mill suggests that it’s a whole line of Android phones for Verizon. The Motorola Sholes, a.k.a. the Droid, will be the first and may be followed quickly by the HTC Desire, a.k.a. the Droid Eris, on November 6th.
If this rumor is true, it certainly demonstrates commitment by Verizon to the Android platform, and it also means that we will have a couple new Android phones to choose from very soon. If rumor is confirmed as reality, we will let you know right here!

Our sister site, PhoneArena, received a juicy little tidbit in the form of a screenshot showing a Verizon inventory system with “PCD/HTC DESIRE ADR6200 DIGITAL GOOGL”. The key words that jump out, of course, are “HTC”, “DESIRE”, and “GOOGL” – all of which appear to be a precursor to Verizon picking up the Android-powered HTC Desire 6200. We have no additional information yet, like when we can get our mitts on this Android-powered gem, but we know you “Desire” it (ahem), and we’ll do our best to get you more news as it rolls in. Are there any Verizon loyalists out there that want this phone? Let us know in the comments!
