There is no need to drop a load of cash on a new Kindle or other ebook reader when you already have one in the palm of your hand if you own an Android phone. One of the premier ebook reader apps, eReader, is now available as a free download. You can download it directly from here as it is not available in the App Market.

The eReader app is compatible with eReader.com and Fictionwise.com online bookstores and recognizes .PDB file types. As illustrated in the picture, eReader allows for swiping to page forward and backward as well as changing font size and switching from portrait to landscape.
