Screen shot 2009-09-18 at 3.08.53 PMGood news for U.S. T-Mobile subscribers – the wireless carrier announced today that limited deployment of HSPA+ technology has started today, first in Philadelphia with broader deployment planned for mid-2010. The City of Brotherly Love is about to get faster for T-Mobile users, and those toting Android phones could theoretically see peak data rates of 21Mbps.

T-Mobile will also be deploying HSPA 7.2 (data rates up to 7.2Mbps) in the interim for select markets in the coming months. Ultimately, T-Mobile plans on LTE technology way down the road, but we’ll gladly have our HSPA+ now, thanks!
