In a surprise move, Acer will sell their upcoming netbooks with both Android and Windows operating systems. This dual-boot feature may be seen by many as a lack of confidence in a successful-selling pure-Android netbook, but on the other hand, we feel that it will add more value to the consumer who will have a more versatile machine. On the downside, this can only mean that Acer netbooks will not be as aggressively priced in order to offset the licensing fees for using Windows. Acer chairman JT Wang has not ruled out a future Android-only netbook.
